Conservatives: You lost the battle because you’re not fighting the war.

There is a war going on, and if you want to have a peaceful and prosperous country instead of a bloody and destitute one, now is the time to become aware of it. If you think America’s history of progress and freedom will prevent it from crashing and burning in tyranny, you are wrong. This has been the fate of every prosperous civilization. Countless people tried to prevent it each time, but they all failed. It will happen here, too, unless you understand why, and how to fight differently.

The war to spread communist ideology in America is already very advanced. People have been talking about the threat of communism in America for a few decades, but we are just now starting to see major support for communism. On November 1st 2020, Kamala Harris tweeted, “Equitable treatment means we all end up at the same place.” This initially harmless-sounding tweet is equivalent to the communist slogan, “From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.” And it does sound nice, until you remember that in country after country, this very slogan led to the murder of millions of innocent people. If you don’t understand why it happened in those countries, you won’t understand why it will happen here, and you will be powerless to prevent it. You have already failed to prevent a majority of Americans from believing that they should give a communist the highest office in the land.

We are failing to stop the rise of communism in America because most conservatives seem to only be aware of one battlefront. How convenient would it be if we could just vote on election day and be saved by one special president? But that will never be enough; it will take more intelligence and force of will than any culture in history has ever been able to rally, exerted on a whole array of battlefronts. Here are a few of them.

Resist tyranny

Communism is powered by an official doctrine of compassion on one hand, while it jealously and murderously seizes power with the other hand. Stalin loved poor people so much that he starved 5 million of them in Ukraine. But, despite the open atrocities, communism reigned for decades in the Soviet Union under that guise of compassion. And who kept it going? Everyone did. Even in Nazi concentration camps, many guards recognized that blowing the brains out of a child’s head was wrong, but very few had the courage to risk their own lives by disobeying orders, until eventually most of them became desensitized to it.

It takes incredible honesty and courage to refuse to comply with bad policy, even when it is obvious that the policy is evil. That is why resisting policy is the least effective battlefront of the war, and can only be the last resort.

So, when is the right time to speak out against tyranny? When the tax rate reaches 20%? 50%? 70%? 80%? 99%? Venezuela was the wealthiest and most prosperous country in South America, but Socialism laid it to waste, but it did so gradually; it didn’t happen all at once. So when is the exact, right time to resist?

You need to draw a line in the sand. Decide for yourself, exactly, what you will and will not do. Help others do the same. If all else fails, plan a way to get away. You may think you should stay where you are, but the price of your soul is too high a price to pay for any job or standard of living. Everyone dies eventually anyway. So, decide what you are willing to live with.

When the time comes to resist tyranny, what is the most effective form of resistance?

I do not believe that violence is violent enough. It is better to torment people with their own conscience. Tyrannical systems are propped up by rationalizations effortfully built up by tyrants so they can continue to think of themselves as innocent, good, or as victims. Violence against them only strengthens those narratives. Instead, you should follow Gandhi’s example and become a vicious emotional strategist. Don’t just lose your life or your job; lose it in a way that is as damning as possible to the tyrants. Put them on a stage that forces them to show who they are to themselves and the world.

Vote

Resisting tyranny is hard. It is far easier and more effective to vote people into office who will not make tyrannical laws to begin with.

Conservatives already care a lot about this, so I will just say two things:

First, try to encourage as many people as you can to vote for people who will fight for your freedom. You don’t know how many votes you could influence. Believe it or not, a lot of people are undecided, even in a year like 2020, where 34% of eligible voters didn’t vote.

Second, you need to be way more involved in the process, both locally and nationally. Local and state politics are underestimated, as we saw with COVID-19. Consider running for office if you don’t like any of the candidates. Don’t the best candidates usually have better things they could be doing, making pure public service the only motivation for them to run? So why not you?

Tell the truth

Do not be afraid to share what you know and believe. It is impossible to convince people to vote more intelligently if they are missing large chunks of truth.

Communists obtain power through fear: Who would dare say the poor don’t deserve compassion? Shouldn’t people who disagree with that face consequences? This is why communists are all in a desperate race to prove to each other how compassionate they are, and the way they do that is by harming as many uncompassionate people as possible, even, and especially, other communists. The more unjust and terrifying, the better. What should have been a logistical disagreement turns into a moral disagreement, then a moral panic, then a witch hunt. The number of scapegoats in the Soviet Union numbered in the millions.

In America, communists have canceled social media accounts, fired employees, and even physically assaulted many for saying basic, true things, or for simply wearing clothes that suggest that they would like America to be great again. Many conservatives are so frightened that they aren’t even honest with pollsters about how they plan on voting, leading to the massive underestimates of Republican support in 2016 and 2020. But what if this fear is even preventing people from voting Republican, for the possibility that someone might find out who they voted for? It would be ridiculous to deny this possible effect. Either way, this fear of being labeled uncompassionate and being cancelled means that millions of Republicans have already begun playing the communist game. Next they will try to make themselves safer by offering “moderate” lip service more and more, then you’ll see them start calling out people, and before you know it they will be openly communist.

The fewer people who tell the truth, the harder it is to tell the truth. The more people who tell the truth, the easier it is to tell the truth.

You can have a lot more influence than you think: Each of us is only 6 connections away from any other person on the planet. How many people could you reach with the right ideas? Many people are actually fairly easily swayed—you see this when candidates make visits to certain areas and they immediately see increased support in those areas. So, leverage your influence for as much good as you can, say what you believe, and create a freer society.

Part II

Up to now I have covered the battlefronts that are most frequently talked about. They are essential, but if they are all we care about, we will lose this war. But I only have an outline for the rest, and before I invest time to write this out the rest of the way I need to know if people are even interested. So, please comment or something if you would like me to finish this.

As a preview, here is the list of the remaining areas in which we need to be fighting to win this war:

  • Education

  • Achievement

  • Stories & Art

  • Religion

  • Charity & Service

  • Health

  • DNA
